J.J. Abrams to direct Star Wars: Episode VII

After directing the newest Star Trek movie, J.J. Abrams will apparently now direct the next Star Wars Movie. The Wrap reports: the Star Trek filmmaker and co-creator of TV’s Lost will direct Star Wars: Episode VII, the first Star Wars movie since the last of the prequel trilogy, 2005′s Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The new film is tentatively scheduled to be released in 2015.

If you ask me, I don’t think J.J. Abrams is the right guy to direct the next Star Wars movie, can he really grasp what it’s all about? Or, will he try to re-invent it like he did Star Trek (photo above related), only time will tell I guess.

Tell us what you think about J.J. Abrams directing the upcoming Star Wars movie.
